Dr. Erica Dickie is a veterinarian, mother of two young boys, and lover of all animals. She was drawn to palliative and end of life care after losing her heart pet Smokey January 2019. Feeling the depths of the loss, she felt her true calling was clear: she wanted to support pet parents through this most difficult time with compassion, understanding, and grace.
This started her path towards becoming a Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Veterinarian and opening her mobile pet hospice practice (Black Creek Mobile Veterinary Services @petcomfortvet) in 2020, advocating for the good death revolution. She is passionate about honouring, validating, & normalizing pet loss and grief.
