Dee Leone is the author of Bizz & Buzz Make Honey Buns (Penguin), Dough Knights and Dragons (Sterling), and Nature’s Lullaby Fills the Night (Sterling). She’s had 20 reproducible books published in the educational market, and more than 200 of her poems, plays, word puzzles, stories, and articles have appeared in magazines such as Highlights and on websites like the Disney-themed PassPorter.com. In addition, she taught at the elementary level, is a member of SCBWI, and has taken part in author events at schools, libraries, bookstores, festivals, and literacy events.
The author’s profits from Bizz & Buzz Make Honey Buns were donated to charity. The book was also part of a Houston Strong boxed set used to support Hurricane Harvey relief. Nature’s Lullaby Fills the Night was read as a bedtime story on the BBC channel by actress Annette Badlands of Doctor Who and Outlander. Dough Knights and Dragons was read by Queen Isabella of Medieval Times at several libraries, and a dragon cake created for one of Dee’s bookstore events was featured on Food Network.
